Sören Lesher
Sören Lesher is a cellist from Telford, Pennsylvania who has played for 14 years. He studied with Philadelphia cellist Eric Coyne for 9 years before being accepted into the State University of New York at Fredonia's undergraduate cello performance program. He had the incredible fortune to learn from Dr. Natasha Farny for 4 years while getting his Bachelor's degree in Music, and then was accepted into the graduate Instrumental Arts Métier at the California Institute of the Arts for the fall 2024 semester. He currently studies at this Institute and is projected to graduate in May of 2026.Sören has a keen interest in music for media and visual art, such as scoring and recording for video games, movies, television series, art installations, museums, and more. If this is an interest to you as well he encourages you to reach out!Sören loves to teach and perform all styles of music ranging from classical, to the newest experimental pieces and improvisational works by composers of all backgrounds and experience levels. He focuses on premiering new music and unearthing old works composed by women, people of color, and LGBTQIA+ individuals.While he is mainly a cellist, Sören is also a pianist, arranger, composer, and teacher. He has been giving private lessons to other cellists for 9 years and tutoring piano and music theory for 4.

♮Gig cellist : Do you need a cellist for an event? Sören has performed for weddings, outdoor holiday events, businesses, hotels, country clubs, and more. He can work as a solo cellist and as part of a chamber music group. Music can be written or arranged on a case by case basis based on client needs. For more details please email him directly with questions and requests for your next event! Price varies per request.♮Performer : Sören loves working with composers who are looking to write for cello, or who have already composed a work that needs cello. Organizations seeking a cellist for a solo or ensemble performance are also welcome to reach out. Sören has experience in opera pit, and musical pit performance. Please contact him directly via email or instagram to discuss your work and interests!♮Cello Teacher : Sören has experience teaching students of all levels and age groups. If you or your child(ren) are interested in learning the cello please email him. Virtual zoom lessons are available for intermediate and advanced students only to ensure beginner students can get ahold of the basics in person.
